Notes: "Paris at the Turn of the Century", was painted by Edouard Leon Cortes, circa 1940-1950. The painting is signed, lower right, Edouard Cortes. It has passages of inpainting visible under raking and UV light in lower right region of sky and area of inpainting to left region of sky; inpainting along upper center horizontal edge and along lower left vertical edge; small area of inpainting underneath artist's signature and to street in lower right quadrant. Framed to an overall size of 22 x 27.25 x 4 inches. This lot is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from David Klein.
