Notes: Place de la Bastille by Edouard Leon Cortes was painted circa 1960. It is oil on canvas measuring 18 1/4 x 21 3/4 inches and signed lower right Edouard Cortes. Nicole Verdier confirms authenticity of the painting, which will be included in the forthcoming Vol. III of the Edouard Leon Cortes Catalogue Raisonne. Additionally the work is accompanied by the original brochure and certificate of authenticity issued by Wally Findlay Galleries, Inc. Dated December 9, 1964.
